Summary

This is a presentation on the topic “Achieving Meaningful Engagement of Vulnerable Communities in the Urban Context” prepared by Mahendra Godar, Engineer of Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City, and Basana Sapkota, Project Coordinator of Building Disaster Resilient Communities in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City (BDRC) project. The objectives of this project were to increase the disaster resilience of poor and vulnerable people, especially women, to the impact of multiple hazards 5 outputs, aligned with NRRC flagships.

This presentation gives a brief on the project, institutional setup for implementation of the project, theories, context, and challenges along with the learning and the outcomes after the implementation of the project.
