Summary

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), along with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), organized two workshops in Dhangadhi, Nepal. The District Early Warning System (DEWS) Expert Training took place from 20th to 24th March 2014, aimed at capacity building and replication of Community-Based Early Warning Systems (CBEWS) in four districts. The National Collaboration and Coordination (NCC II) Workshop occurred on 25th and 26th March 2014, focusing on challenges and coping strategies for implementing CBEWS, sharing funding information, and designing a national simulation exercise.
