Community-based flash flood early warning system: a low-cost technology for Nepalese mountains

Summary

This paper published by the Department of Geology; Tribhuwan University is about a low-cost technology for a communities-based flash flood early warning system. The system includes a Solar panel, Siren, Ultrasonic sensor, processing unit, and battery. The ultrasonic sensor senses the water level and the siren will automatically start. The threshold can be set up according to the space and time.
