This situation report provides an update on the July 8, 2025 Rasuwa glacial flood triggered by the sudden outburst of a supraglacial lake on the Purugu Glacier in Tibet. The disaster has so far claimed 11 lives, left 18 people missing, and injured 1, while causing massive destruction to the Nepal–China Friendship Bridge, Syabrubesi–Rasuwagadhi road, Rasuwagadhi dry port, three hydropower plants, customs offices, vehicles, and electricity infrastructure. Nearly 1,950 security personnel have been deployed for search, rescue, and relief operations, while road repairs, restoration of communication and power, and humanitarian assistance are ongoing. High-level government delegations have conducted site visits, and Nepal and China are coordinating on bridge reconstruction, alternative crossings, and detailed damage assessments.
