The Strategic Action Plan for Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, 2024 sets out Nepal’s vision for an inclusive, disaster-resilient nation. It emphasizes the meaningful participation of women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups in all stages of DRRM through eight focus areas: risk assessment, governance, investment, preparedness and response, reconstruction, capacity building, early warning, and risk financing. The plan promotes accessible infrastructure, inclusive communication, livelihood support, and shock-responsive social protection, with clear short-, medium-, and long-term actions.
