The study assesses the impact of the earthquake on the adventure tourism sector in Dhading, Gorkha, Nuwakot, and Sindhupalchowk districts, with a focus on defining relief and recovery strategies for restoring livelihoods, the economy, and services while ensuring resilient recovery. The objectives included evaluating damage to tourism services, accommodation, and cultural monuments, identifying priority needs for affected entrepreneurs, assessing food security measures during recovery, and identifying potential areas for livelihood development in post-disaster contexts. The scoping exercise resulted in concrete support measures, including an assessment of damage, socio-economic impacts, and a long-term recovery strategy. The study identified key stakeholders, beneficiaries, and formulated intervention plans to enhance local livelihoods and recovery initiatives, culminating in a dissemination workshop in Kathmandu for presenting and discussing the initial report with action plans and implementation modalities.
