This document outlines the Disaster Risk Management Guideline, 2076. Nepal is recognized as a vulnerable country in terms of disaster risk management, exacerbated by factors such as unmanaged migration, deforestation, non-scientific agricultural practices, population growth, and a lack of awareness, leading to numerous disasters annually. These disasters include floods, landslides, pandemics, cholera, fires, and road accidents, resulting in significant loss of life. In response to this, and in accordance with the authorization outlined in the Local Government Operation Act 2074, Article 102, this guideline has been formulated to aid in mitigating these various forms of disasters.
