Field Characterization of Landslide-Induced Surge Waves Based on Computational Fluid Dynamics

Summary

The study examined the effects of landslide body shape and density on surge wave generation, water entry, and propagation patterns. Numerical simulation analysis of landslide-induced surge waves is essential for understanding and preventing reservoir landslide disasters. Using computational fluid dynamics, a model was created to simulate the surge waves generated by a moving landslide. Results were validated against physical experiments.
