This document is about the Foundation of Restoration Ecology which is an attempt to return a system to some historical state, although the difficulty or impossibility of achieving this aim has widely been recognized. This document consists of Ecological Theory and the Restoration of Populations, Restoring Ecological Functions, and the Restoration of Ecology in Context.
