This study explores the challenges and opportunities in building disaster risk reduction (DRR) competencies among informal construction workers in Nepal. It highlights the lack of formal training and the informal nature of the construction sector, which often leads to unsafe building practices. The research emphasizes the importance of incorporating DRR education into informal training programs and suggests that empowering these workers with the necessary skills can significantly improve the resilience of constructed structures against disasters.
