Summary

This reflection report on the process and issues in DRR Governance and Management is a collection of papers that provides a detailed scenario of DRR in Nepal with a review of the four theme papers; DRR Concepts and its Management in Nepal, Challenges of Reconstruction after Gorkha Earthquake, Challenges of Urban Disaster Risks Reduction in Nepal, and Governance Challenges in Disaster Risk Reduction in Nepal presented in a Conference. Furthermore, this document offers an understanding of the disaster preparedness and Response in Nepal, DRR Provision and Programme by the National Reconstruction Authority, and highlights the challenges of Urban Disaster Risk Reduction in Nepal, Governance challenges in Disaster Risk Reduction, and the detailed scenario of disaster management and issues in the Kathmandu Valley along with the way forward for enhanced DRR in the future.
