GIS-Based Landslide Susceptibility Modeling: A Comparison Between Fuzzy Multi-criteria and Machine Learning Algorithms

Summary

The study paper assesses and compares different models for landslide susceptibility in the Kysuca River basin, Slovakia. the FDEMATEL-ANP, Naïve Bayes (NB), and random forest (RF) classifiers were used. A landslide inventory map with 2000 points was created, and a geospatial database of 16 conditioning factors was generated. The Relief method determines the importance of these factors. The study produced landslide susceptibility maps (LSMs) using the mentioned models and validated the results.
