Internship Announcement
If you are interested in applying for an internship program, please submit your application after reading the Objectives and Conditions of the Internship Program and having satisfied the eligibility criteria indicated. Please note that the duration for application is indicated in each internship announcement, which is generally one months prior to the start of the Program.
Eligibility, Objectives and Conditions
Eligibility Criteria:
The internship program is open to students who are enrolled in a second university degree (Master) or higher, or other graduate program with specialization in an area, which directly relates to DPNet Nepal’s substantive work program.
Objectives:
- To promote a better understanding of disaster problems and an insight into the workings of the DPNet Nepal.
- To provide DPNet with the able assistance of the participants in the program.
Conditions:
- The internship should not exceed six months, with a minimum period of two months.
- The intern will not be paid by the DPNet and, as such, he/she will not be entitled to the privileges and immunities accorded to staff members of the DPNet Nepal.
- The intern undertakes to conduct himself/herself at all times in a manner compatible with his/her responsibilities as a participant in a DPNet internship program.
- The intern must keep confidential any and all unpublished information made known during the course of the internship and not publish any reports or paper on the basis of information obtained except with the authorization of the DPNet
- The intern will provide written notice in case of illness or other unavoidable circumstances, which might prevent him/her from fulfilling the internship.
