Title : | Workshop on Preparation of Nepal Disaster Report |

| Message : | Dear all,
DPNet-Nepal in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and other
partner organizations is publishing 1st Nepal Disaster Report in near
future. In this context, an Editorial Committee has been formed chaired by
representatives of Ministry of Home Affairs which has been given overall
responsibility for the publication of the Report. The guideline for the
write up was prepared and the content of the report has been drafted by
different scholars and researcher under the supervision of Prof. Dr.
Jibaraj Pokhrel. In this regard, DPNet-Nepal is planning to conduct a day
workshop in order to share the content and text of the report and collect
feedback from our respected members/partners and other stakeholders.
The participants of the Workshop will be divided into 4 groups and each
group will deal with following subjects:
1st Group- Theoretical Aspects of Disaster and Policy & Legislation
2nd Group-Climate Change and Draught & Famine
3rd Group- Earthquake and Fire
4th Group- Flood and Landslide
Different Cross cutting issues will be discussed in the Workshop before
group division.
We, therefore, would like to invite you to attend the workshop and request
for your active participation that will provide impetus for the
finalization of the report.
